The following individuals have been appointed to the Governor's Task Force on Autism Spectrum Disorders by Governor Charlie Crist. Task Force members were appointed to a term beginning March 7, 2008 and ending at the pleasure of the Governor.

  • Loranne Ausley, of Tallahassee, member of the Florida House of Representatives, District Nine.
  • Laura L. Bailet, of Jacksonville, executive director of Nemours Bright Start!
  • Anna "Holly" Benson, of Tallahassee, secretary of the Agency for Health Care Administration.
  • Karen A. Berkman, of Tampa, director of the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, University of South Florida.
  • Lance J. Block, of Tallahassee, attorney with Searcy, Denney et. al.
  • Jeffrey P. Brosco, of Coral Gables, physician and associate professor of Clinical Pediatrics, University of Miami.
  • Jim DeBeaugrine, of Tallahassee, interim director of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. Mr. DeBeaugrine serves as task force co-chair.
  • Debra Dowds, of Tallahassee, executive director of Florida Developmental Disabilities Council Inc.
  • Elizabeth Emken, of Danville, California, vice president of government relations, Autism Speaks.
  • Kimberly Hill, of Tallahassee, finance manager with Florida Baptist Children's Home.
  • Susanne F. Homant, of Tallahassee, president and chief executive officer of the Able Trust.
  • Patty Houghland, of Pensacola, advocate for the Advocacy Center for Persons with Disabilities.
  • Jarl K. Jackson, of Tallahassee, coordinator of The Tallahassee Asperger Support Coalition.
  • Robert J. Kanjian, of West Palm Beach, county commissioner of Palm Beach County.
  • Gary Kompothecras, of Sarasota, president of Physicians Group LLC.
  • Richard D. La Belle, of Dunedin, executive director of Family Network.
  • Marcelo Llorente, of Miami, member of the Florida House of Representatives, District 116.
  • Bambi J. Lockman, of Tallahassee, chief of the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services, Florida Department of Education.
  • Dan Marino, of Miami, former football player with Miami Dolphins. Mr. Marino will serve as task force co-chair.
  • Randal Perkins, of Parkland, chief executive officer of AshBritt Inc.
  • Lisa Precourt, of Orlando, home school mother.
  • Kelly Purvis, of Tallahassee, statewide parent consultant with the Children's Medical Services, Early Steps State Office, Florida Department of Health.
